​Hi! I'm Cara.

Raised in Madison, Wisconsin, I moved abroad after high school where I studied photography at the Speos Photographic Institute in Paris, France. I then lived there and worked as a freelance photographer and photographer's assistant. I moved to Louisville, Kentucky in 2014 where I currently live with my partner, Ben, and two cats, Fern and Chunk.

I worked in the spirits industry for five years, with a focus on brand homes and the experiences and the retail items they offer. I’ve worked with brands large and small, creating the fun and educational experiences that not only grow the brand’s image, but are also what tourists have come to expect when they visit Kentucky. In this, I found a passion and talent for developing a brand through these face-to-face experiences as well as through a retail environment. I’ve created retail strategies that include designing products that pair with the brand vision and promote a lifestyle that consumers strive to create for themselves.

I continued this passion of developing brands in June of 2019, when I joined a fast-growing e-commerce company as their Associate Product Manager. I developed over seven new products and multiple variations of backgrounds through cross-departmental collaboration. These products resulted in over $120k in increased revenue over a 3-month period.

In addition to the creative aspect of working with brands, I also have experience in managing the teams that make it happen. I've managed teams of over a dozen employees that were responsible for providing a best-in-class experience.To help the team succeed, I developed an in-depth system of policies, procedures, training materials, and operational models. I use my quick and creative problem-solving skills to tackle any issue that may raise its head, doing so in a way that not only solves the problem immediately, but insures it doesn’t happen again.

​I'm a self-proclaimed cat lady. I like house plants, but I don't have a green thumb. I play in a co-ed rec soccer league but I'm no Mia Hamm - we're in 'E League'. I collect books and American whiskey. I've been known to break out a compelling rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody at karaoke night. I'm a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan.
